George Best House is open for guided tours every Friday morning from April – September and once a month from October – March. Led by local EastSide Tour Guide Peter McCabe, these 45-min guided tours offer unique insights into George’s early childhood growing up in east Belfast as well as family anecdotes and highlights from his incredible life and career. Enjoy flicking through old school reports and letters written by George when he first went to Manchester.  

Adult tickets are priced £10, Children tickets (ages 5-18) are priced £5 and Children under 5 go free with no booking required for this age.  Income generated is used to preserve this local heritage asset.

George Best Trail

George Best was proud to be from east Belfast and the people of east Belfast remain incredibly proud of ‘Our George’. Spend half a day exploring the places closest to George’s heart and finish up with a traditional fish supper from his favourite chippie, Spence’s.

George’s Grandparent’s house in Donard Street, Ravenhill Presbyterian Church, Desanos Ice-Cream Parlour, The Oval (Glentoran Football Club), Nettlefield Primary School, the site of the old Ambassador Cinema and Spence’s Chip Shop.
